Rough 2-weeks for Coug fans as WSU lost to Boise St 31-28 placing the team at 0-2 for the season and last place in the PAC-12. The Cougs had several changes to win however Leach’s vaulted “Air Raid” ground to a halt several times inside the red zone in compressed throwing space. Cougs make a last chance comeback however came up short. Coach Leach ripped into the players after the game calling the “players soft.” He later took responsibly for WSU’s poor play and promised this weeks practices tough. WSU has a chance to rebound against Idaho next week before starting PAC-12 play.
Game Notes: Falk was 55-of-71 passing for 480 yards and four touchdowns.
