‘the Pirate” leaves a sword stuck in the heart of the Cougars and Coug fans by poor game management of the clock. In a freak ending to the game, WSU instead of taking a knee, runs a play and fumbles away the game. Long-time Coug broadcaster, Bob Roberts, ” states he has never seen anything like that in his 50+ years of football.” Even the Colorado State players were shocked and in a bit of disbelief as they walked away with the win.

ame interviews, Coach Leach stuck to his guns that it poor game play and not his management of the game that cost the Cougars the game. Love him or hate him but many fans disagree. The one thing you can be certain about Mike Leach is he “gives no quarter” to use a pirate expression.
One thing you can say for sure is there will be no joy in Cougarville this 
Christmas. The grinch showed his face in the end, making for a long winter for WSU players and fans alike.
