The WSU mens basketball team put together a huge team win against USC Thursday night in Pullman. DeAngelo Casto was simply marvelous scoring 24 points, 10 rebounds, for another double-double this season. Klay Thompson and Faisel Aden put in another 20 points each in a great win for the Cougs. The only bad news of the night was when Cougar point guard Reggie Moore when down hard & left the game early due to an ankle injury. Marcus Capers took over “point” and did an outstanding job even under a tough trapping defense by USC. With this win, the Cougars are back on the NCAA bubble going into Saturday’s game with UCLA. This game is huge and the Cougs will have to play without Klay Thompson. Thompson was suspended Friday morning due to “off-court” events. Coach Bone & AD Bill Moos made the right decision to take the suspension now which may mean the Cougars will have Thompson back for the PAC 10 Tournament. The rest of the team will have to pick up their game while at the same time slowing down the pace of the game if they want to beat UCLA. The Cougs are playing at home and have the Zoo Crew backing them up in what should be a really good game.
Go Cougs- The Cougar Nation is behind you!!
