The WSU men’s basketball team is coming off one of their worst losses this year. Losing to last place Arizona Wildcats, 79- 70, set a new low for the team. In that game, Klay Thompson played well, scoring 30 points even after a silly benching by Coach Bone for a missing i-pod and being late for the bus. DeAngelo Casto once again had a nice game for WSU putting 14 points on the board. The rest of the team played poorly with shot after shot clanging off the rim.
The big question for the Cougs is whether they can mentally put the AZ game behind them, stay out of foul trouble, and start hitting free throws with consistently? Coach Bone must also do his part & come up with a better game plan to take advantage of situation/match ups for WSU to play well.
The Huskies will be looking to redeem themselves after losing a tough game to AZ a few days ago. They will also be looking for revenge after the high flying Cougs beat them 87-80 in Pullman earlier this year. The keys to this game will be whether the Huskies step-up their defense and will Coach Bone have his team ready to play. This will of course be the usually Dog & Cat fight with passion running high on both sides.
